Stille Nacht

There is a story that in 1914, in the midst of World War I, fighting stopped on the Western Front for one day. A Christmas truce between the Germans and the Brits. They laid down their weapons, put up trees, and the Germans sang the beloved carol, “Stille Nacht”.

The song is “Silent Night” in English, and is known in many other tongues as well, but it was originally written in German.

I was so excited to have the chance to learn the German lyrics this year, and thus decided to share the song on my YouTube. If you’d like to hear it, please check it out. (Color of Kim)

Christmas is a wonderful holiday. It even had the power to make peace in a world of turmoil, if only for one day. This Christmas, find peace in your own life.

Remember Jesus Christ and the blessing He is to us. Don’t lose sight of Him as we venture into the New Year. When we take the time to remember Him, we can have peace always.

Merry Christmas and lots of love –
