Other Supposed Benefits of Laughter:
Improved memory
Improved quality of sleep
Boosted immune system
Reduced depression/anxiety
Relieved tension
Raised pain tolerance

Everybody likes to laugh. And we should do it more often!

Sometimes we take things way too seriously. Life can be fun if you let it be. Sure it can suck sometimes, but in the whole scheme of things there is always something worth laughing about. And if you really can’t find anything, there’s always comedy television.

No one can tell me God doesn’t have a sense of humor. If you can’t think of situations from your own life, then take one look at the scriptures.

He let a prophet get swallowed by a whale.

Let the absurdity of that statement sink in. As if there was no better way to teach him his lesson!

I don’t know if I believe in coincidence. I don’t think every dropped penny has life shattering meaning and consequence, but I think there are reasons things happen. And sometimes maybe it’s simply because God wants us to take a chill pill and laugh at ourselves. Because as bad as our problems are, they are only temporary, and if you let them eat at you, you’re just causing your own bad mood.

Laugh it off.
