The Way I See It: PEDS 10

This isn’t actually a poem. It is a text I sent to a friend awhile back. But it came to mind today, so I hunted it down and decided it fit what I wanted to say.

I see my life the way I write. Everything behind me is my novel. Printed, I can go back and review it, and see the way things weave together. Everything ahead of me I see as a movie. I can see in my head scenes of what I want it to look like, but I’m just in the brainstorming phase of my screenplay. As each moment passes, it goes from the screen in my head to words on my imaginary page. I’m the writer, but God is my editor, publisher, producer. He gives me the material I have to work with. Some of it is what I asked for, and some of it is so much better than what I could’ve dreamt up. How do you see your life?
